There are many aspects of this wonderful industry. We'll help you explore the possibilities to fit your lifestyle and desires. From investment and financial considerations to fiber and what to do with it. We'll talk about fencing, facilities, pastures, nutrition and husbandry. Then we'll give you hands-on information about selecting alpacas for your purpose. Please wear appropriate clothing as we will spend time in the barn. This begins at 10 a.m. and continues until your questions are answered.
 

Nationally know fiber expert, Wini Labrecque is coming to Cinco C's Alpacas. Join us for this fun, colorful class as we learn the basics of dyeing. Participants will 'hand paint' 100% alpaca yarn using fiber reactive dyes, then heat set the dyes using a microwave. Small sampler skeins of alpaca blend yarns will also be provided to experiment and see the effect the dyes have on the blends. Participants will take home their hand painted skeins of yarn along with the skills necessary to do the task at home.

Come to Cinco C's Alpacas for an afternoon of knitting and fun.Cost of this workshop is $50 Knitting instructor Bonnie Mahoney will provide unique patterns and guide participants through the chosen techniques. Participants will choose a skein of yarn from a selection of our current stock. Attendees will depart with materials and knowledge to complete a beautiful scarf.
